Kathryn Kipper

Kipper, Margaret Kathryn passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on August 26, 2012 at Delmar Gardens O'Fallon. Beloved wife of the late Charles P. Kipper, aunt, and friend to many, Kathryn was born May 28, 1922, in Shelbina, MO. The daughter of Rev. Elmer H. Holliday and Mary Emma Bundles Holliday, Kathryn was the seventh of eight children. She graduated from high school in Moberly, MO as valedictorian, then attended Lincoln University where she received a certificate in elementary education. After college, Kathryn taught school in Shelbyville, MO. She married Charles P. Kipper on December 27, 1942 in Paris, MO. Kathryn moved to St. Charles, MO in 1949 and has been a longtime member of St. John African Methodist Episcopal Church. During her church membership, Kathryn was a Consecrated Deaconess, Steward Emeritus, and served as a Sunday School teacher, choir member, member of the Georgia B. Clay Missionary Society, Steward Board, Stewardess Board, Trustee Board, and Lay Organization. Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband Charles, and her brothers Elmer Edward Holliday, Austin Price Holliday, George Edwin Holliday, Haven Porter Holliday, Elder Bundles Holliday, Blanton Phinis Holliday, and Floyd Buford Holliday. Kathryn is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to St. John African Methodist Episcopal Church in St. Charles, MO.
