Ken Brooks

Ken Brooks, of St. Charles, Missouri, Tuesday October 17, 2017, age 74. Loving husband of almost 53 years to Joyce Brooks; beloved son of the late John E. and Mabel Brooks; devoted father of Anthony Wayne “Tony” (Sherri) Brooks, Joetta Lynn “Jody” (Christopher) Martin; brother-in-law of Dorothy Merlotti, Shirley Leistner, Marjorie Elmore, and Bev Bishop; cherished grandfather Autumn Brooks, Nicholas Martin, Paige Martin, and Bayley Brooks; uncles, aunt, cousins, many nieces and nephews; he is also survived by his beloved cat Cosmo. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Eva Bishop and Reba Shawver, sister-in-law, Barbara Day, and brother-in-law John Bishop.

Ken worked for Boeing for 43 years before retiring. He enjoyed traveling and was a big animal lover. He enjoyed chopping wood and relaxing at his weekend home, Oak Ridge Acres in Mineola, MO. He was a former member of show-me shufflers dance club and a member of First United Methodist of St. Charles. Ken volunteered through church with Showers of Blessings, which assists the homeless, and he also did the church landscaping. Ken was dearly loved by all who knew him.
