KENNETH A. “DUTCH” WETTER, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at the age 85. Beloved brother of Jeanette L. (Wetter) Wappelhorst and Carolyn “Dolly” (Wetter) Rothermich. Kenneth is also survived by his sister-in-law Florence (Messner) Wetter and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, John and Caroline (Kreutzer) Wetter, his brother and wife, John “Jack” and Maudie (Pickering) Wetter, brother Norbert “Buzz” Wetter, and brother and wife Melvin G. “Mel” and Kathleen “Bee” (Schneider) Wetter and brother-in-law Herbert V. Wappelhorst.
Kenneth served our country in the Air Force as an aircraft mechanic stationed in Germany. He worked at McDonnell Douglas before becoming an over-the-road truck driver for forty years, driving more than 4 million miles without an accident. He enjoyed growing Christmas trees, fishing and visiting his farm.
Kenneth will be missed by his sisters and family. A visitation will be held at the chapel of St. Peter Catholic Church in St. Charles, MO, Monday, February 18, 2019, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the Mass of the Resurrection to follow.
