Kenneth A. Van Coutren, of Saint Peters, MO, passed peacefully in his sleep, Sunday, December 5, 2021 at the age of 60. Loving husband of Joni Kay Van Coutren(nee Mahan); beloved son of Carolyn and the late James Van Coutren; devoted father of Matthew Van Coutren and Mark Van Coutren; dear brother of Daniel (Micki) Van Coutren, Keith (Laura) Van Coutren, Linda Van Coutren; brother-in-law of Shari Handy, Kathi (Patrick) Peters, Vicki (John) Phillips, Penni (Andrew) Gust, Hilary Mahan, and Megan Mahan; cherished nephew of Pat (Jack) Willie, Dianne (Moss) Huber, and Gene (Jane) Harton; son-in-law of Debbie (Walter) Mahan. Kenneth is also preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Mary Jo (Michael) Hurocy and father-in-law, Walter Mahan. Ken was an uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend.
Ken was a member of the National Rifle Association, International Foosball Promotions Tournaments, and the Boys Scouts of America. He was also honored to be inducted in the Boys Scouts of America, Order of the Arrow.
Ken was married to Joni for 30 loving years, they raised two children together, Matthew and Mark. Ken was very social; one would say that he never met a stranger. He loved spending time up at the Pink Galleon playing foosball and travelled to foosball competitions, winning many trophies. Ken had a good sense of humor and loved to pull pranks. He was a loyal St. Louis Blues fan. He was a true outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, camping, and shooting with his family. Ken was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
