Kenneth Alan Coomer, of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at the age of 59. Loving husband of Rachel Coomer; beloved son of the late Elroy and Joyce Coomer; devoted father of Kevin (Kimberly) Coomer and Kendall (Jerod) Huckstep; stepfather of Tyler (Lauren) Green, Tiffany Green, Alex Green, and Ashton Green; cherished grandfather of Tucker Alan Coomer and Alexandria Suzanne Coomer; step-grandfather of Everett Paul Green and Lennon Ruth Green; dear brother of Terry Coomer.
Ken will be remembered for his big heart, love for his family, and compassion to help others. He cared greatly for others and was always very happy, selfless, and willing to help out a neighbor or friend. He knew the value of being a hard worker, and he liked putting his time to good use.
As a family man, Ken enjoyed taking his kids hunting and fishing in their younger years. He also liked to go camping and 4-wheeling with his wife, kids, and grandkids. Along with his love of the outdoors, he stayed active and looked forward to the MS Bike Rides every year, in which he participated for several years. He also took on the challenge of completing the RAGBRAI ride in 2012, where he spent a week riding across Iowa.
NASCAR was a weekend love of Ken’s and he looked forward to watching the races every Sunday to cheer on Dale Jarrett, #88 and Carl Edwards, #99. He also loved working on his 66’ Fastback Mustang with his son and daughter. He was very knowledgeable of cars and never needed a manual for instructions on how to repair anything.
Ken was a faithful member of The Summit Church, and enjoyed spending time with their community group members. His memory will be cherished by his family and friends forever. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorial contributions may be made in Ken's name to
