Smith, Kenneth E. “Ken” of Chesterfield, MO, died Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at the age of 84. Ken was born on June 16, 1931 in Woodward, OK the cherished son of the late Eugene Daniel and Pearl Violet Smith. Ken moved with his family Ponca City, OK at an early age and was a 1949 graduate of Ponca City High School. He attended his first year of college at Chicago University, and received his degree in Electrical Engineering from Washington University St. Louis. After his honorable service to his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, he accepted a position at McDonnell Aircraft.
He was an accomplished pianist of classical music, a talented water color artist, and enjoyed tinkering with scientific projects.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Evelyn B. Smith. He was the devoted father of Stephen Smith and Randy (Ronda) Smith; loving grandfather of Lily Smith and Iris Smith; dear brother of Barbara (Harold) Watson and the late Jim Smith; and cherished brother-in-law of Charles (Cheryl) O'Dell, David (Amelia) O'Dell, and the late Janice Faerber. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
