Kenneth E. Howell “PaPaw”, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away on May 13, 2017, at the age of 71, after fighting a long and courageous battle against Esophageal Cancer. Ken was the loving husband of over 48 years to Karen Howell (nee: Wilson); beloved son of the late Earl and Vivian Howell; devoted father of Kenny Howell, Kimberly (Daniel) Casey, Kristina (Matthew) Weber-Barnard, and Kevin (Jennifer) Howell; cherished grandfather of Kaitlyn Casey, Jacob Casey, Adriana Weber, Andrew Weber, Joey Weber, Jessica Howell, Tyler Howell, Trey Howell, Charlie Barnard, and Dominic Barnard; dear brother of Richard (Vera Jean) Howell and brother-in-law of Bill (Marsha) Wilson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Ken is also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Christopher Weber; and his nephew, Terry Howell.
Ken proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for Southwestern Bell/AT&T for 43 years before retiring in 2010. He was a Boy Scout Leader for over 10 years, while both of his sons participated, and a previous member of the Elks Club. Ken was a handyman who could fix anything, and, in his spare time, he also enjoyed camping, boating, along with family trips. Most importantly, Ken was a family man who enjoyed every moment spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
