Kenneth Diederich, of Defiance, MO, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Georgia Lee Diederich; cherished son of the late Eugene and Helen Diederich. Devoted father of Jackie Diederich, Mike (Chris) Diederich ,Thomas (Pamela) Diederich, Sandy (Mike) Schmidt, and Sally (Russ) Thomas; loving grandfather of Kacie (Chris) Derby, Courtney (Michael) Henderson, Tyler (Morgan) Diederich, Hannah (Ethan) Bruckerhoff, Abby (Brandon) Mayer, Olivia Diederich, Darby (Tanner) Schmidt, Delaney Schmidt, Dalton Schmidt, Sierra (John ) Blachford, Selestia Angell, Savannah (Justin) Moore, Schyler Angell, and Katrina Thomas; treasured great-grandfather of Reagan Derby, Landon Derby, Harper Derby, Rowan Bruckerhoff, Reid Bruckerhoff, Joslyn Blachford, J.D. Blachford, Jesse Blachford, Matthew Henderson, and Luke Henderson; dear brother of the late Norma (Alvy) Scott, Calvin (Carol) Diederich, Vera (Elvin) Scott, and Jean (Eugene) Fuerman.
Kenneth proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was also a faithful member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church New Melle and American Legion. Kenneth was married nearly 64 years to Georgia Lee. He enjoyed farming, being a truck driver, and discussing farming and politics with friends and strangers. Kenneth loved to spend summers at the fair and especially loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids. Kenneth was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
