Kenneth Gill

Kenneth “Ken” Dean Gill, native to Harrisonville, MO, passed away Friday, November 10, 2023, at the age of 64. Beloved husband of the late Christine Lavender-Gill; cherished son of the late Irvin and Dorothy Gill. Devoted father of Jeremy Gill, Amber (Alex Dent) Gill, and Danielle (Donovan) Davey; loving grandfather of Derrick Gill, Logan Gill, Morgan Kinsey, Tatum Kinsey, Zachary Kinsey, and Payton Dent; dear brother of Larry (Barb) Gill and Pat (Lee) Tiedeman; brother-in-law of Linda Browning, Mary Welch Gunter-Gill. Preceded in death by his brother, Sonny Gill and sister, Sharon Rogers.

 Ken proudly served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the A-10 Demonstration Team and the 442nd Fighter Wing. He participated in Operation Deny Flight in Aviano, Italy, setting up logistics for Iraqi Freedom, and participated in numerous other overseas deployment missions. He was the recipient of the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal.

 Ken was an avid NASCAR fan and especially liked Dale Earnhardt. A football and baseball fan, he loved the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. He also enjoyed a day on the greens, golfing.  He was witty, steadfast, very outspoken and had a true, gentle heart. Always a hard worker, He retired from Boeing where he worked on the plane he loved the A-10 with much contribution to the A-10 enhanced wing program. Kenneth was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
