Kermit Roosevelt Workman Jr.

May 9, 1938 — February 2, 2022

Kermit Roosevelt Workman, Jr., of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the age of 83. Loving husband of Sandra Workman; beloved son of the late Kermit R. Sr. and Lillie Mae Workman; devoted father of Tamara (William) Burkard, Treasa Turnbeaugh, and Tara (Brian) VanBibber; cherished grandfather of Lexi (Zack) Watson, Nicholas Turnbeaugh, Rayna Burkard, Anthony Turnbeaugh, Katelyn Turnbeaugh and Kayla VanBibber; dear brother of Margaret (Roy) Douglass and the late Faye (Dan) Prause.

Kermit proudly served his country in the United States Naval Reserves. He worked as an IT Manager in the banking industry and retired after more than 30 years with US Bank.

As an avid sportsman, Kermit played on his high school football team. He was a very passionate fan of the Dallas Cowboys. In his later, years he was on a bowling league and men’s softball team. He loved coaching, he coached Treasa and Tara in softball. He was very outgoing and kind-hearted, and he always made sure all the girls on the softball team were able to make their financial obligations to be able to stay on the team. He also “helped” coach his granddaughter as well.

Kermit enjoyed studying the stock market and investments. In his spare time, he loved to play his Sudoku puzzles. More than anything, he truly loved spending time with his family. Kermit was a true family man, and that was most important to him. He was an amazing grandad who always looked forward to watching his grandkids at their activities and sporting events, and he pretty much did whatever they wanted.

Kermit was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Memorial contributions may be made in Kermit’s name to Wounded Warriors Project.
