Kim Brinkmann

Kimberly Sue Brinkmann (nee Short), of Defiance, MO, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at the age of 66. Loving wife of Bob Brinkmann; beloved daughter of Carol Short and the late Michael S. Short; dear sister of Kevin (Patti) Short, Karen (Steve) Boyer, Keith Short, Joanie (Rich) Ohlms, and Mike (Stephanie) Short; She was blessed with 8 nieces and 5 nephews along with numerous great nieces and great nephews who loved her very much. Kim cherished her uncles, aunts, and cousins throughout her life. Preceded in death by her sisters, Kelly Short and Janet Short. 

Kim was passionate about tending to her bees and chickens at Femme Osage Grove where she also made homemade apple butter and jam. For 15 years, she owned and operated Pure Pilates Plus, pouring her dedication into the business. She was actively involved in organizations such as Jobs for American Graduates, Rooted Sisters Bible Study, St. Charles Convention and Sports Facilities Authority, and was a committed entrepreneur. Kim had a caring and kind nature and enjoyed hosting friends and family. She will be remembered for a smile that could light up any barn. She had a special love for fundraising and community involvement. Deeply loved, Kim will be missed by all who knew her.
