Landon Delano Hefner

Landon Delano Hefner, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024 at the age of 86. Loving husband of Carol Jean Hefner; beloved son of the late Dallas William and Helen Anglee Hefner; devoted father of Kelly Hefner and Shari Hefner; stepfather of Rickey Lemons, and Robert Ray Lemons; dear brother of Margie Austin; cherished grandfather of eleven, and great-grandfather of five. Landon is also preceded in death by his son, Gregory S. Hefner; his siblings Freada Bruemmer and Jerry Hefner; and one grandchild.

Landon proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He dedicated 40 years to McDonnell Douglas/Boeing in Quality Control. A passionate traveler, he visited every state, including Alaska, Hawaii, and the Virgin Islands. Known for his extraordinary sense of humor, he always brought laughter to those around him. He had a special fondness for casinos, where luck was always on his side. Above all, Landon cherished his time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, enjoying every moment spent with his family. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
