Larry Danbom

Larry Danbom of O’Fallon, MO passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Jacqueline Danbom; devoted father of Vicki (Ed) McClellan, Karen (Tom) Fischer, Pat (K.C.) Runge, Stephanie (Dane) Chandler, and Jennifer (Mark) Basler; loving grandfather of Sarah (Jeff) Hairston, Matt (Sarah) McClellan, Josh McClellan, Krista and Nick Fischer, Cameron McWhirter, Emily (Hunter) Hendrickson, Courtney and Cole Chandler, and Michael, Logan and Jackson Basler; treasured great-grandfather of Gideon and Jake; and dear brother of Bob Danbom and Carroll Danbom. Larry is preceded in death by his parents Russell and Mildred Danbom.

Larry was a longtime parishioner of Assumption Catholic Church of O’Fallon. He dedicated more than 54 years to Western Union before retiring from his position as Director. He loved fishing and playing cards and he was known to fix anything – a real “MacGyver”. In his spare moments he spent as much time as he could with his family, especially his grandchildren. He would cheer on his grandchildren at their soccer games, he also enjoyed watching St. Louis Cardinals and Blues Hockey. Larry was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
