Larry Elwood Horton
September 25, 1947 — January 26, 2019
Larry Elwood Horton, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019, at the age of 71. Loving husband of 49 years to Sandra Sue Horton; beloved son of the late Woodrow "Woody" Wilson and Doris Kathleen Horton; devoted father of Kendra Horton, Jennifer Horton; dear brother of Jane (Fred) Simonelli, and Dave (Jane) Horton; brother-in-law of Bev Finmark; and is also survived by countless friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Larry was a graduate of the University of Texas, where he was on the baseball team. He went to work for Edward Jones and retired after 30 years of service. Larry loved baseball and played minor league baseball for the Yankees. He also enjoyed other sports, trivia, reading, and catching up with old friends. Larry was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Longhorn Foundation Baseball Excellence Fund or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
