Larry Gene Oakley

Oakley, Larry, of Marthasville, Missouri, died on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at the age of 64. Cherished husband of Karen Oakley NEE Williams; dear son of the late James R. and Betty Henkel; devoted father of Dean (Eva) Oakley, Chad (Sara) Oakley and Stephanie Hoelting; loving grandfather to Blake, Logan, Hunter, Savana and Miles; dear brother of Terry J. (Theresa) Henkel; dear brother-in-law of Tom (Lisa) Williams, Allen (Gaby) Williams and Julia Williams. Larry was a life long member of the VFW and the American Legion and proudly served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War (1967 - 1970). He was a carpenter all his life and was employed with Droste & Sons for 10 years. For the last 4 years he was retired and enjoying his life in Florida and the Lake of the Ozarks. Larry was a devoted Parrothead and was the happiest with a drink in his hand and his feet in the sand. He will be truly missed by all of us who loved him. Memorials may be made to Shriner's Childrens Hospital or SSM Hospice.
