Larry Smith

Dr. Larry R. Smith, of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at the age of 67. Loving husband of Joy R. Smith (nee: Powell); dear son of the late Harry R. and Ruby Smith; devoted father of Shannon (Stephen) Cancila, Stephanie (Stephen) Malone, and Samantha Smith; cherished grandfather of Vito and Carmen. He is preceded in death by his first wife Bonnie Lynn Smith.
Larry was employed as an Elementary Administrator for Francis Howell School District, an Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction for Wentzville School District, and retired as an Assistant Superintendent with Affton School District. He then taught as an Associate Professor at Lindenwood University. He was a gifted musician, an avid and enthusiastic gun collector, and he also enjoyed traveling. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, and was just a silly man at heart. He was loved by all who knew him, and he will be greatly missed.
