Larry Zigler, of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away Monday, October 18, 2021 at the age of 71. Beloved husband of Karen Carpenter Zigler; precious son of Violet Zigler; devoted father of Aaron (Blair) Zigler, Amy (Eric) De Ford, Jason (Amanda) Myers, Kevin (Jennifer) Myers; loving grandfather of Zoe, Jack, Aaron “A.J.”, Isabella, Sophia, Roze, Brooke, Alyson and Violet; dear brother of Terry (Dorothy) Zigler, Clay Zigler, Myrna (Charlie) Carter and Christina (Wayne) Weber. Larry is preceded in death by his father, Fred Zigler.
Larry was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church. He was a very dedicated and proud Marine and did two tours with the Marine Corp while serving in Vietnam. Larry was awarded with many badges and medals during his time in the Marines, including Rifle Expert Qualification Badge, Pistol Expert Qualification Badge, Presidential Unit Citation, Combined Action Program Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with device, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Navy Accommodation Medal with “V”, Purple Heart with One Star, Combat Action Ribbon, and Vietnam Service Medal with One Star. He was the owner of Hair Designs by Z in Creve Coeur for 20 years. Larry was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
