Laura A. Rothe

Laura Rothe (nee Schroeder), of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away Friday, June 16, 2023, at the age of 64. She was the beloved partner of Kevin Fox; devoted daughter of the late Virginia and Kenneth Schroeder; loving mother of Melissa Fike (Tracy Grant), Ashley Rothe (Greg Mennerick), and Megan Golden (Paul); and the cherished Grammy to Charlie, Melanie, Madison, Mallory, Ella, Olivia, Molly, Henry, and James. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia Crawford. 

Laura was a superstar. She was a native to St. Louis, Missouri, and she built a successful career as a realtor receiving numerous awards and recognitions. Her big and vibrant personality aided in her effortless talents for sales. She was driven and achieved everything she set her mind to.

Laura loved the sunshine and warm weather. Her vacation destination was always the beach, and she enjoyed catching rays while working in her yard. She was an amazing landscaper and gardener, and she took great pride in her yard.

Laura met Kevin 17 years ago, and their connection was instant. They have since enjoyed many adventures together and made many beautiful memories. Together, Laura and Kevin loved to dance the West Coast, sip wine and listen to live bands at the wineries in Defiance, and take walks in the park and around Creve Coeur Lake.

Above all, Laura adored her family and loved nothing more than spending time with her nine grandchildren. Grammy was constantly looking for new fun crafts and activities to do with her grandchildren and always loved to see pictures and hear stories about them. She was both loving and silly and knew how to make anything fun. In the words of one of her lifelong favorite characters, Mary Poppins, she was “practically perfect in every way."

Laura was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In honor of her lifelong love of dogs, if you would like to make a memorial contribution in her name, donations can be made to Stray Rescue of St. Louis - a charity that was near and dear to her heart.
