Lauren Lacey

Lauren Chastine Lacey (nee Abbott), of Weldon Springs, MO, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021 at the age of 72. Beloved daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary Ruth Abbott; loving mother of Ryan Jack (Kasi) Lacey; treasured grandmother of Harper Jean Lacey; dear sister of the late Larry Abbott. Lauren was a member of the Whitmore Country Club & longtime member of St. John's Church of Christ. She had a strong faith in God and enjoyed attending bible study. Lauren had a passion for learning and when she set her mind to something she would accomplish many amazing things. Lauren learned how to fly a plane, purchased her own plane and was an avid pilot for many years. She was an accomplished golfer who played competitively in several leagues for numerous years and achieved a hole in one, not once but twice! Golf was truly one of Lauren’s passions. At an early age Lauren’s love for animals was evident, she loved horses and was an accomplished rider. Her love for animals carried throughout her life as she donated to organizations that helped care for animals finding them their forever homes. Lauren has two cats, Scarlett and Taffy who were both adopted as adult cats and she treated them like royalty. Lauren started "Designed to be Mine" which was a home-based screen printing and embroidery LLC. She was a proud grandmother of her granddaughter, Harper Jean Lacey, and was happy to tell anyone within earshot about her. Lauren was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Memorials may be made in Lauren 's name to Seven More Cats Rescue. Baue Funeral Homes is currently following CDC recommendations regarding mask and social distancing policies.
