Laverne "Vern" Pagel, age 82 Tuesday February 27, 2018.

Beloved husband of the late Judith “Judy” M. Pagel; significant other Carolyn Herren; cherished son of Emil and Linda Pagel; devoted father of Lori (Jennifer Hill) Stanford, Dan (Beth Ann Keeler) Pagel and Lisa James; loving grandfather of Madison (Rico Geromel) Stanford, Stephanie James,  Riley Stanford-Hill, Sawyer Stanford-Hill, Elle Pagel, and Dalton Pagel; dear brother of Virlin (Ginny) Pagel, Dennis (Kathy) Pagel, and Lyle (Mary Jo) Pagel; and beloved uncle, cousin and friend to many. Vern is preceded in death by his sisters Audrey Odland, Virlaine Gangestad, and Virgene Stober.

Vern was a devoted member of Immanuel Lutheran church. He retired from McDonnell Douglas after 40 years and enjoyed being a handyman and driving with his big yellow dump truck. Vern’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, grandchildren. He was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
