LaVonn Charlita Fegiel

LaVonn Charlita Fegiel, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the age of 85. Loving wife of George J. Fegiel; beloved daughter of the late Jewell and Amelia McCulley; devoted mother of the late Cynthia Hammond; cherished sister of Donald (the late Joyce) McCulley, Daniel (Jane) McCulley, Sr., and the late Mary Esker; dear aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

LaVonn loved her church and serving Jesus.  She was very involved as a member of Harvester Christian Church and always enjoyed volunteering with the food panty there.  She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and she looked forward to the activities she participated in with the organization.  LaVonn was a very giving person and helping others was her true talent.

LaVonn loved adventure and going on cruises with her family and friends, which she had been on 17 throughout her life.  Around her home, she liked tending to her flowers and being outdoors.  She truly enjoyed decorating for every holiday, and Christmas was her favorite.  She was always prepared with a gift on hand.  She was also a great cook and enjoyed cooking, especially for her husband, George.  LaVonn was a dear sweet lady, and she was loved greatly by her family and friends.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of LaVonn to Harvester Christian Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
