Lawrence Hume

Lawrence Gene Hume, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2023 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of the late Marie Hume; cherished son of the late Robert and Gladys Hume; devoted father of Teresa (Dave) Thompson, Kenneth (Kelly) Hume, Angela (Ken Crapo) Stephens, Randy Hume and the late Jaqueline Hume; loving grandfather of Christopher, Candice, Joshua, Kelsey, Emma, Kyle, Holly, Mia, Ainsley and Kaylee; treasured great-grandfather of Aidan, Alaina and Jasper; loving brother to 11 siblings.  

Lawrence was an adoring husband to Marie for 62 years, and loved being a father and grandfather. He had a kind heart and wanted the best for others, he was truly happiest when those around him were happy.  

Lawrence loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Western movies. He was a big music fan and loved listening to Elvis, Gospel and old country music. In his free time he was an amazing Canasta player and loved playing with his family.  

Lawrence was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

Memorials may be made in Lawrence's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
