Husband of Shirley Birke NEE: Elfrink, son of the late Lawrence & Loretta Birke, father of Larry (Julie) Birke, Christina (Chris) Gaffney & Lisa (Russ) Housman; grandfather of Jake Birke, Allison Birke, Cole Birke, Brendan Gaffney, Lauren Gaffney & Izabelle Housman; brother of August (Anne) Birke, Jerry (Charlene) Birke, Kathleen Birke & the late Tom Birke.
