Lee Roy Michael

Lee Roy Michael, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Monday, September 10, 2018, at the age of 93. Loving husband of 71 wonderful years to Leola Michael; cherished son of the late Gustav and Hannah Michael; devoted father of Judy (Bill) Lubben, Joyce Whittington, and Mark (Cindy) Michael; cherished grandfather of Jackie Delling, Jessica (Matt) Fleshman, Jason (Christina) Whittington, Sarah (Terry) Eaker, and Jessica Mayer; treasured great-grandfather of Jack, Daniel, Molly, John, Parker, Ella, Max, Madelynn, Megan, Claire, and Grace, dear brother of LaVerne Klosterman. He is preceded in death by his treasured grandson, Matthew Whittington; and three sisters, Eunice Michael, Eunice Reinkensmeyer, and Goldie Ferguson.

Lee Roy was a much beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many. He was very active in the Lutheran Church and recipient of two of the highest Lutheran Scouting awards, the God, Home, and Country Award, and the Lamb Award. He enjoyed wood working and playing cards, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his great-grandchildren. Lee Roy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
