Lee Wetzel

Lee Adolph Wetzel, of Saint Louis, MO and Cape Girardeau, MO, passed away Monday, September 9, 2024 at the age of 96. Beloved husband of Eugenia (Jean) Wetzel; cherished son of the late John and Anna Wetzel; devoted father of Christy Wetzel and father-in-law to Joshua Wilson; loving grandfather of Eli Wilson and Clara Wilson; dear brother of the late Lois Mill and the late Lloyd Wetzel.

Lee proudly and honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion in Cape Girardeau and very active in his church, Grace United Methodist in Cape Girardeau.  

Lee worked in trucking and repair all of his life. He worked for Brown Shoe in St. Louis and Rent-A-Driver in Benton, MO, where he finished his career as a Branch Manager. In his younger years, he worked in radio and then television repair. Lee was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

Memorials may be made in Lee's name to Alzheimer’s Association.
