Lena M. Pruitt

Pruitt, Lena M. (nee: Barcus) of St. Charles, MO, died Thursday, November 12, 2015, at the age of 95.  Beloved wife of the late Earl E. Pruitt; cherished daughter of the late William and Bessie Barcus; devoted mother of Sherry (Richard) Kersting, Pamela (Gerald) Burton-Rohr, Lana (Howard) Maness, and Gina Pruitt; loving grandmother of Lynette Strick, Julie (Jeremy) Cappelletti-Brown, Bryson Burton, Shannon Burton, Kelly (Chris) Williams, Matthew Belz, Gerry (Nicole) Rohr, Jennifer (Joe) Litzinger, Kyle Maness, and Brittany Maness; and treasured great-grandmother of 18. Lena is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Henry Barcus, Kenneth Barcus, Cecil Barcus, Herman Barcus, and her twin, Lenard Barcus; and her sisters, Mary Schmidt and Clara Gritton.

Lena was a very dedicated mother who loved her family deeply. She was also a very loyal friend to many. Throughout her life, she truly enjoyed caring for the ones she loved, swing dancing, and listening to her music on her record player. She will be missed by all who knew her.
