Cannito, Leo of Saint Peters, MO, died on Friday, March 6, 2015, at the age of 95. Loving husband of the late Doris Cannito; beloved son of the late Vincent and Nicholetta Cannito; devoted father of Fred (Brenda) Cannito, Barbara Warner, Vickie Gassman and Joe (Lori) Cannito; cherished grandfather of Amy Mills, Jenny (Scott) Blackmore, Jim (Monica) Gassman, David (Jana) Gassman, Lisa (Clint) Basala and Lindsey Cannito; treasured great-grandfather of 10; and dear special friend of Jo Jonas.
Leo proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was an active member of the St. Peters Senior Center, and a member of the Hanley Hills Optimist Club and the St. Peters VFW. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
