Leona Mierkowski

Mierkowski, Leona, of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at the age of 88. Dearest wife of the late Lawrence Mierkowski; dear daughter of the late Andrew, Sr., and Agnes Bury; loving mother of Pamela (Rory) Braunesreither, Karen (Tim) Ryan and Dennis (Rebecca) Mierkowski; beloved grandmother of Allison, Abbygayle, Susan, Amanda and Rachel and great-grandmother of Jace, Raelynn and Teagan; dear sister of Agnes Behrmann, Louis Bury and the late Mary Karolczak, Frank Bury, Andrew Bury, Jr., Anna Mance, Eugene Bury and Michael Bury, Sr. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Cottleville, very devoted to prayer and recited the Rosary every evening. Leona moved to St. Louis at the age of 17. She worked for Longstrum Laundry Mat, Small Arms Plant for 3 1/2 years and later was employed with TRW Ramsey Corp for 18 years. Leona enjoyed gardening, crafts, home interior decorating and shopping. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
