Leontine “Lee” A. Morris

May 4, 1933 — November 8, 2018

Leontine "Lee" A. Morris (nee Simonin), of St. Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018, at the age of 85. Loving wife of the late Vincent Lee Morris; beloved daughter of the late Edgar and Anne Simonin; devoted mother of Laura Plummer, John (Mercy) Morris, James Morris, Marianne Morris, Barbara (Todd Hauser) McNew, Tom Morris, and Robert (Sharon) Morris, dear sister of Marie Boyce; cherished grandmother of 15; great-grandmother of 6; and loving aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Leontine is preceded in death by her brother, Edgar Simonin; and sister, Jeanne Morrissey.

Lee was a hospice volunteer for 20 years and retired as a nurse from St. Joseph Health Center after many years of caring for others. Lee was a huge supporter of many local St. Louis organizations, such as The City Museum, St. Louis Zoo, Missouri Botanical Gardens, Forest Park Forever, The Muny, and The St. Louis Symphony. Her greatest passions were sharing these enjoyments with her family along with the love of her hobbies such as gardening, cooking, sewing, and volunteering. Lee was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorial contributions may be made in Lee’s honor to SSM Hospice & the Mother of Good Counsel Home.

A memorial Mass will be scheduled in the near future at the Mother of Good Counsel Home. Please check back for services.
