Leota Young

Leota Young of Saint Charles, MO, passed away at the age of 84 on Friday, July 30, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Young; and her son, Robert L. Young.

Leota is survived by her children, Ron (Lisa) Young, Patricia (Ron) Hoormann, Mark (Sue) Young, and Karen (Vince) Braddy; her grandchildren, Kim Young, Scott Young, Jennie (Stephen) Bain, Samantha Brennan, Janie Hoormann, Nicholas Young, Jared Young, Lindsay Braddy, Zachary (Alison) Braddy, Micah (Courtney) Braddy, Kailey (Joe) Higgins, and Amy Young; and her great-grandchildren, Chase Young, Daniel Brennan, Hannah Brennan, Kaya Bain, John Bain, William Braddy, Samuel Braddy, Theodore Braddy, Charlie Braddy, Autumn Braddy, and Paisley Braddy.

Leota was fascinated by genealogy and was a forever member of the genealogy club at Viewpoint Retirement Community in Arizona. She was very talented and enjoyed quilting, crocheting, needlework and making wonderful things for her family. Leota was dedicated to her job as a medical transcriptionist, often going to conferences to further her career. Above everything, Leota was an amazingly supportive mother who cherished every moment she spent with her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial contributions in Leota’s name may be made to Lutheran High School, St. Charles.

A private service will be held at a later date.
