LeRoy J. Lauer

Lauer, LeRoy J., of O’Fallon, MO, died on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at the age of 83. Loving husband of Joyce Lauer; beloved son of the late Ludwig and Rosalie Lauer; devoted father of Julie (Lou) Lesinski, Nancy (Steve) Holzum, Karen (Rick) Mueller, Joseph (Cathy) Lauer, Daniel (Kathy) Lauer, James (Vicki) Lauer, Jonathan (Laura) Lauer, and Jill (Fred) Brakensiek; cherished grandfather of nineteen; treasured great-grandfather of five; dear brother of Dale Lauer, Juanita (Don) Derricott, and the late Charlotte Rohlfing; and survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.




Lee proudly served in the United States Coast Guard during the Korean War. Lee was the ultimate “Idea Man” with ventures including: Financial Advisor, Insurance Broker, rabbit farmer, horse racer, dog breeder, sign printer, Buyer’s Club leader, leader of the Missouri and Kansas Petroleum Retailers Organization, and much more. He was most proud of his 50+ years of success as an Independent Insurance Broker. Lee was also an active member of the Dardenne Presbyterian Church, for over 30 years. He will truly be missed by all of his family and friends.
