Leroy Stepanek

Leroy B. Stepanek, of Wright City, MO, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the age of 90. Loving husband of the late Shirley B. Stepanek; beloved son of the late Harrison and Amelia Stepanek; devoted father of Curtis (Edna) Stepanek, Dennis (Kim) Stepanek and Kent (Sharon) Stepanek; cherished grandfather of Tara Stepanek, Mark (Kelly) Stepanek, Brent (Lauren) Stepanek, Tori Stepanek, and Katie (Cody) Sommer; treasured great-grandfather of Xavier and Jordan Stepanek; dear brother of Earl (Annette) Stepanek, Homer (Mary Lou) Stepanek, Oscar (the late Jennifer) Stepanek, Kathryn Powell, and Melva (Donald) Huber. Leroy is also preceded in death by his siblings Mildred Stepanek, Ruth Swafford, Virginia Harrell, Harry Stepanek, Elmer Stepanek.

Leroy proudly served in the United States Navy from 1952 to 1956, his rank was Petty Officer First Class. Leroy was married to the love of his life for 65 years. They both enjoyed square dancing together. He was a big sports fan and avidly followed Mizzou Tigers. Most of all he loved his family and greatly enjoyed helping and spending time with his grandchildren. Leroy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Leroy's name to American Cancer Society.
