Memorials may be made to Friedens UCC Cemetery Fund. Les Mallinckrodt, of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the age of 78. Dearest husband of the late Dorothy F. Mallinckrodt (nee: Diekamp); dear son of the late Theodore and Hilda (nee: Luetkemeyer) Mallinckrodt; devoted father of Shirley Hershbarger, Terry (Brenda) Mallinckrodt, and Susan Collins; beloved grandfather of Jason (Michelle) Hershbarger, Ginnie Hershbarger, Jeanette Hershbarger, Brian Conway, and Nicole Mallinckrodt; dear brother of Marvin (Mildred) Mallinckrodt, Theodore (Leona) Mallinckrodt, Oscar (Grace) Mallinckrodt and Elsie Hemsath; dear brother-in-law of Audrey, Betty, Delores and Alma Mallinckrodt. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond, Edwin, Alfred, Walter, Karl, Robert, William, and Herbert Mallinckrodt, and sisters Lydia and Edna Nadler. He was employed as a Backhoe Operator with St. Louis County Water Co. for 43 years before his retirement. He was an avid Cardinals fan, enjoyed word search puzzles as well as spending time with family and friends.
