Leslie "Les" Wiss

Leslie “Les” Wiss, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2024 at the age of 81. Loving husband of Mary Wiss; beloved son of the late Leslie William and Elizabeth Pearl Wiss; devoted father of Barbara (Steve) Carroll, and Dennis (Stacey) Wiss; cherished grandfather of Emily Hipskind, Katie Hasmer, Cameron Wiss, and Keegan Wiss; treasured great-grandfather of Samuel Hipskind, Reid Hipskind, Harper Hasmer, and Elsie Wiss. Les is also preceded in death by his sister, Norma (Jerry) Lincoln.

Les was a member of the hospitality team and funeral dinner group, senior adult ministry, and the board of trustees at St. Charles Methodist Church. He was proud of his faith. He was a very hard worker and very friendly, he was kind and helpful to everyone who needed him. Married to his beloved wife, Mary, for 61 loving years. He liked being outdoors and fishing, boating, and hunting. He enjoyed board games with his family, adored his family and liked spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids. He always made sure he had something to work on to keep busy. Les was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

 Les actively participated at his church, St. Charles Methodist Church on the hospitality team, funeral dinner group, senior adult ministry, and served on the board of trustees. His strong faith was a source of pride for him. Known for his hardworking and friendly nature, Les was always kind and helpful to those in need. He cherished his 61-year marriage to his beloved wife, Mary.

Les had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed activities such as fishing, boating, and hunting. Board games with his family brought him joy, and he adored spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids. Keeping himself occupied with various projects, Les was a diligent worker.

His warm and caring presence touched the hearts of many, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
