Lester “Les” Hackworth

Lester "Les" Hackworth, of O'Fallon, Missouri, died on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the age of 76. Loving husband of Linda Hackworth (nee: Edwards); dear son of the late Arnett and Jettie Hackworth; devoted father of Teresa (Steve) Green; cherished grandfather of Claire, Jack, and Julianne; dear brother of Dolan (Nelda) Hackworth, Dean Hackworth, Duane (Linda) Hackworth, Marietta (Carlos) Barton, Anita (George) Shaffer, and Vernita (Jim) Miller. He is preceded in death by an infant sister. Les was a clerk for General Motors for many years before retirement and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Harvester Baptist Church and enjoyed golf and fishing; but his main enjoyment in life was watching his grandchildren play sports. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Siteman Cancer Center or the USO.
