Lilburn Lawrence Dotson

Lilburn Lawrence Dotson, of Cottleville, MO, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the age of 95 and fifteen days old. Beloved husband of the late Joyce Irene Dotson; cherished son of the late Hiram and Gladys Dotson; devoted father of Lester A. (Donna) Dotson and Karen J. (Donald E.) Rich; loving grandfather of the late Kevin Douglas Dotson, the late Christian Lee Dotson, the late Shawn Michael Dotson, Timothy James Dotson, Stephanie Janel Dotson, Ethan Daniel Dotson, Scott Edward Hedges, Stacy Lee Hays and Shannon Steele (Janette) Hedges; treasured great-grandfather and great-great grandfather of many; dear brother of the late Betty Jane (Harvey) Hendrix, the late Thelma Mae (Kenneth) Niehaus, the late Robert Edward (Ann) Dotson and the late Arthur William Dotson; brother-in-law of Shirley Benton, Stanford Straw and Patricia Harper. 

Lilburn proudly and honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He dedicated many years to the construction industry and then went on to work in manufacturing at Brasch in St. Louis. Lilburn was a true handyman, he was excellent at building things, he could look at something and then build it. He was very active and loved to be busy. Lilburn was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
