Lillian "Lil" Marie Peckron

Lillian “Lil” Marie Peckron (nee Hebsacker), of Columbia, IL, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Ralph Peckron; cherished daughter of the late Karl and Alice Hebsacker; devoted mother of Sue (Larry) Cushman, Linda Guistiniano, Ted (Kathy) Peckron, Judith (Scott Egner) Zanti and the late Terry Shelton; loving grandmother of Sherry (Kerry) Kneemiller, Brian (Carmen) Cushman, Matthew Giustiniano, Caitlin Giustiniano, Tamie (Bob) Newman, Jonathan (Vicki) Peckron, Domenico (Beka) Zanti, Robert (Jazmin) Zanti, Giuliano (Lexi) Zanti, Lucia (Zach) Dinges and Katelyn Zanti; treasured great-grandmother of twenty; dear sister of Tony (Becky) Dean; Lil was also preceded in death by two sisters. She was a precious aunt, cousin and friend to many. 

Lil enjoyed playing board games with her family, especially Rummikub. She read and did crosswords all of the time. Most of all, Lil loved cats, animals and wildlife, always wanting to lend an extra meal to them. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Memorials may be made in Lil's name to Stray Rescue of St. Louis.
