Lillian M. Cartee

Lillian "Sam" Cartee, age 73, of O'Fallon, Missouri, died Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at Delmar Gardens Nursing Center in O'Fallon. A Daughter of the late Orville and Nina Cartee (nee: Centers), Sam was born on August 1, 1936, in Harrison, Kentucky and grew up in Portsmouth, Ohio. Sam worked at Shelby Shoes and as an electronics assembler at Western Electric in Ohio. She moved to St. Louis in 1983 to be close to her family. She loved working as a waitress at CoCos and the Sheraton at Westport. Sam is survived by her son, Greg and his wife Mimi, and her cherished granddaughters, Lexie and Jennifer Cartee. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2009 from 3:00-5:00 PM, at Baue Funeral & Memorial Center, 3950 West Clay, St. Charles, Missouri 63301. Cremation will take place at the Baue Crematory.
