LINDA ANNE KOENIG, Troy, MO, July 27, 2014 age 59. Dear wife of Raymond M. Koenig, Jr.; dear Mother of Callie, Katie, Keri, Christy, Kaylia, Kimi, Karli, Cassi, Antonio, and Miguel; loved and sweet daughter of William and Rosalie Hale; loved sister of Larry (Jennie) Hale, and Lane (Nancy) Hale; cherished sister-in-law of Suzi Cross, Debbie (Frank) Neal, Sharon (Bob) Broeckelmann, Denise (Dan) Hughes, Roseanne Hutchins, Daniel (Monica) Koenig, Mary Jo (Randy) Hoester, Kristine (Steve) Jewett; and treasured daughter-in-law of Maridel Koenig. She is preceded in death by her brother-in-law Rick Cross and father-in-law Raymond Koenig Sr.
Linda was known for her servant's heart and her passion for teaching. She loved ministering to others in any way she could. Along with her family, Linda managed and took part in their family show in Branson, MO--'TWICE ADOPTED'. Today, the Koenig's travel throughout the country singing and telling what the Lord has done in their life. God has been so good to them!
Linda did her undergraduate studies at the College of the Ozarks and UMSL, and has a Masters Degree from Lindenwood University. At the time of her death, she was working on her Doctorate in Education. She was always ready to host parties, lead families in Bible Quizzing, training, and to engage in public speaking to share her extensive knowledge and skills in the fields of childrearing and homeschooling, among others. She was motivated and always full of life and energy.
Linda had a passion for teaching. Before being a mother to ten children, she traveled extensively throughout the country teaching computer skills at military bases, businesses, and colleges. In 1993, following God's calling for her life, she came home from the workforce to homeschool and raise (at that time) her two daughters. Through the years, many more children were added. Now the house is full of children, all adopted by Linda and her husband, Randy! It truly is a wonderful life! Never a dull moment!
Linda continued to use the talents the Lord gave her by speaking and training others to teach from a Biblical perspective, making God and the Bible the center of everything she taught and did. She shared insights as to the critical nature of child training, the importance of memorizing Scripture, and much more. She was a faithful and supportive member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church. She thrived on being a part of the church family and was always eager to help, counsel, and minister to others.
When asked about whether she enjoyed this call of being a wife and a mother, Linda replied, 'There is nothing more important I could be doing than trainingmy children to be mighty warriors for the Lord." Her death came as a shock to her family and all those who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
