Linda B. Shannon, of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away Friday, April 15, 2022, at the age of 82. Loving wife of 62 years to Charles B. Shannon; beloved daughter of the late Herbert and Marie Bull; devoted mother of Cindy Shannon and John (Catherine) Shannon; cherished grandmother of Savannah Cardinale, Nicholas Cardinale, Brent Shannon, and Briana Shannon; dear aunt, sister-in-law and friend. Linda was also preceded in death by her sister, Caroline (Bob) Galloway and brother, Dennis (Jackie) Bull.
Linda was born in Stuttgart, Arkansas, and lived there until she left to attend Mary Baldwin College. She transferred to Washington University in St. Louis to complete her degree in physical therapy. After marrying Charles, they moved to St. Louis, where she worked as a physical therapist at various medical facilities for many years, including Jewish Hospital and Oak Knoll Nursing Rehab Center. She loved the outdoors and spending summers with her family at the Lake of the Ozarks. Linda was an avid traveler, going on adventures with friends and family all over the world. She toured Europe and Egypt with friends, spent over ten years traveling across the country with her husband in their motor home, and loved taking cruises to fun destinations, including Australia, New Zealand, Alaska and around Cape Horn.
Linda cherished her family and loved spending time with them. Linda was kind, generous, funny, compassionate and full of life. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorial contributions may be made in Linda's name to
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
