September 3, 1932 — April 16, 2017
Lois Marie Atnip (nee: Markwardt), of Florissant, MO, passed away on Sunday April 16, 2017, at the age of 84. Loving wife of the late Ken Atnip; Beloved daughter of the late Glenn and Marie Markwardt; devoted mother of Leanna Levine, Matt (Kathy) Atnip, and Jane (Tim) White; cherished grandmother of Emily, Brian, Erica, Aaron, Rachel, Kyle, and Daniel; dear sister of Walt (Karen) Klein, Doug (Susan) Klein, and the late Dolores Starr.
Lois taught English and literature at Incarnate Word Academy for many years. She loved to travel the world. She even chaperoned a few high school student groups trips to Europe and Russia. Even though she loved to travel, Lois loved her Aspenhof cabin that she considered home, where she shared many found memories with her family through the years. She was a parishioner at Scared Heart Florissant. Lois was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
