Lois E. Hachtmeyer

Dear sister of Carol Park and the late Illomay Launer; sister-in-law of William Launer (Sheri); loving aunt of Elizabeth Raso, Laura Gross, Martha Deubel, Louis Launer and great aunt of Patrick Hardin, Sean Hardin, Brian Vogler, and Sophia Deubel. She was preceded in death by her parents Louis J. and Eleonora Hachtmeyer. Lois was a Member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, principal in the University City School District and curriculum consultant for schools throughout the U.S. While serving on the library board in St. Charles, she catalogued all the books used for the first bookmobile. She served as the first female member of the school board in the City of St. Charles. She was also listed in the ''Who's Who in the Nation in Education''. Lois assisted in gathering materials for the start of the Frenchtown Collection.
