Lois Griesenauer

Lois Elaine Griesenauer (nee Wood), of O Fallon, MO, passed away Friday, August 13, 2021, at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Edward Griesenauer, Sr.; cherished daughter of the late Herbert and Lillian Wood; devoted mother of Edward (Stephanie) Griesenauer, Jr., Laura (The late Gregg) Garrison and the late Carolyn Griesenauer; loving grandmother of Elaine (Erik), Carolyn (Mike), Edward III, Bobby (Danielle), Adrienne (Chris) and Alicia (Andrew); treasured great-grandmother of Brianna, Dylan, Collin, Avery, Easton, and Mackenzie; dear sister of the late Lillian Williams; Lois was a beloved aunt, sister-in-law and friend to many.

Lois was an active member of several patriotic organizations including Colonial Dames and Daughters of the American Revolution. She volunteered at SSM St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis for over 20 years. Lois loved reading, genealogy, and traveling all over the world. She adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her vivacious personality, love for her family, and her beautiful smile. Lois was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lois' name to Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude's Children’s Hospital.
