Lois Lourine Hollis, Age 88, went to reunite in their Heavenly home with her husband of 65 years Friday November 27, 2009. Born January 18, 1921 to John Lindley and Cora Catherin Crowell (nee: Russell) near Couch, Mo. Married James R. Hollis December 10, 1941. Survived by son James L. Hollis; her favorite (and only!!) grandson Lt James Robert Hollis, MD, USN, currently deployed at Expeditionary Medical Facility in Kuwait City, Kuwait; niece JoNell (Paul) Falcon (nee: Tucker); nephew Ron Crowell; and, Angels disguised as neighbors, Dee and Larry Noel, Shelby and Luke. Preceded in death by sisters Vernita "Babe" Tucker, Thelma "Auntie" Jenkins; brothers Floyd "Chub" and Lloyd Crowell. Worked part time for many years at Sweiss Pastry Shop waiting on customers who became lifelong friends. She cherished memories made with her multitude of friends. But, her life passion was her husband, son, and grandson, making a house our home, cooking our meals, washing our clothes, wiping tears from our eyes, comforting our pains, fixing our hurts, rejoicing in our joys, putting smiles on our faces, memories and love in our hearts. Known by many names…Lois, Trix, Suz, Sister Hollis, MaMa….her favorites were Granny and Mom. We sum her life with…WELL DONE, MOM!!
