Sheridan, Loraine R., of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the age of 85. Loving wife of the late Richard Sheridan; beloved daughter of the late Harry Kobusch and Amelia Kobusch Helman; devoted mother of Michael (Susie) Sheridan, Bruce (Candy) Sheridan, Jeffrey (Karen) Sheridan; dear mother-in-law of Susan Sheridan Russell; treasured grandmother of Kevin (Carol) Sheridan, Todd (Prong) Sheridan, Amanda (Joshua Rosenberg) Sheridan, Erin (Michael) Miller, Polly (Adam Young) Sheridan-Young, Alec (Kelly) Sheridan, Kaylee Sheridan, Veronica Sheridan, and Amelia Sheridan; cherished great-grandmother of Caleb Miller, Gage Miller, Declan Miller, Donovan Miller, Kadin Young, Aila Young, Grayson Rosenberg, Kendra Berg; loving aunt, cousin, and dear friend to many. She is preceded in death by her son Paul R. Sheridan and her sister Evelyn Hehman. Loraine enjoyed gardening, painting, crafts, bingo, but most of all she loved her family.
Loraine attended BeaumontHigh School and attended nursing school at the old MissouriBaptistHospital; she worked at the original ChristianHospital and at the OldMissouriBaptistHospital. She was an accomplished self taught artist; she painted landscapes, figures, and crafts, she was a well known antique collector, craft painter, and specializing in Santa's and other Christmas items and tin toys.
Loraine was a member of the Woodbine Garden Club for over 25 years, serving as Program Chairman, Treasurer, Bird Chairman, Vice President, and President, she was a life member of the Federated Garden Clubs, and volunteered for the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary. She did craft painting and face painting for their annual boutique, she along with her husband and family were members of MizpahLutheranChurch for many years. She was the daughter of Harry J. and Amelia Kobusch. Harry J. Kobusch was a well known engraver for Jaccard's and for many years was the engraver for the Veiled Prophet.
