Loretta Bertha Kellison (nee Almeling) of California, Missouri, formerly of Maryland Heights, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late James Kellison; cherished daughter of the late Julius and Emma Alemeling; devoted mother of Sharon (John) Delaloye, Jean Kellison, Victoria Kellison, Pamela (Bob) Voegtli Buda, and the late Cora Jane (the late Paul) Helms; loving grandmother of John (Susan) Delaloye, Julie (Drew) Porter, Paul (Dan) Helms, James (Kristi) Yackly, Bill (Krysta) Voegtli, Matt Helms, Elizabeth Voegtli, and the late Micheal Yackly; treasured great-grandmother of John Delaloye, Andrew Porter, Joseph Delaloye, Nicholas Yackly, Caleb Yackly, Joseph Voegtli, and Audrey Porter. She was also a loving aunt, cousin, sister-in-law, and friend to many.
She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Ralph Almeling, Roy Almeling, Robert Almeling, Ruth Schwede, Leona Brashear, and Helen Shipley.
Loretta started and built her own marketing service that was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. She was a PTA member, Picnic Chairperson, and a was a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, VFW-New Melle, MO and CCC Bingo Group. In her free time, Loretta enjoyed reading, embroidery, playing slot machines, and listening to Alan Jackson. She also loved traveling with her husband, James. Most of all Loretta enjoyed raising her 5 girls and spending time with her wonderful family. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
