Loretta L. "Sis" (Anderson) Vannatter (nee Stenger), of Portage Des Sioux, MO, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at the age of 87. Loving wife of her first husband, the late Arthur James Anderson and second husband, the late Floyd Eugene Vannatter; beloved daughter of the late Aloysius and Hortense Stenger; devoted mother of Debby (Gary) Smith, Marsha (Dave) Schmelz, and Sandra (Mike Garcia) Hohensee; cherished grandmother of Gary (Katie) Smith, Trisha (Dennis) Goins, Jason (Mindy) Schmelz, Russell Hohensee, Andrew (Casey) Hohensee, and Marissa (Jon) Schmelz; treasured great-grandmother of twelve; beloved aunt, cousin, and friend. Loretta is also preceded in death by her son, Arthur "Archie" Anderson; dear sister of Julian Stenger.
Loretta was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and a member of Orchard Farm VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Loretta enjoyed going to watch St. Louis Cardinal baseball games and going to the casinos. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Family meant the world to her. Loretta was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Loretta's name to Masses or Orchard Farm VFW or
Evelyn's House.
