Box 550, Warwick, NY 10990-0550 or www.aboutbacf.org Lori Lynn (Lombardo) Mattingly, devoted wife and mother, died suddenly on Friday February 4, 2005 after a ten month battle with breast cancer - a struggle that she approached in the same way she approached her life - with grace, dignity, strength and optimism. She was 38. The daughter of Joseph Lombardo and Elaine Pigago Lombardo, Lori was born on April 28, 1966 in St. Louis, Mo. A graduate of Philippine Duchesne High School in St. Charles, Mo., Lori continued her education at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo., where she earned a B.S. in Communications. Later, Lori completed the graduate business program at Bryant College in Smithfield, R.I., where she was awarded an M.B.A. Her professional career included serving as an analyst for Landmark/Magna Bancshares of St. Louis, Mo., a management consultant for Earnings Performance Group of Short Hills, N.J., the director of information sys-tems for B-First Residential Mortgage of Warwick, R.I., and the director of information sys-tems for Lefkowitz Champi Garfinkel & DiRienzo, P.C. of Providence, R.I. She regularly spent time in volunteer service at local senescence communities, schools and libraries. When her daughter was born in 1997, Lori made the conscious decision to postpone her professional career aspirations in favor of investing that time and energy in her family, a responsibility she lovingly undertook every day. A family statement reads: ''Lori's smile could have melted a glacier and her way made people feel like they were home, regardless of where home was. Her family was her life and her community was her world. Lori's spirit lives in her children and in everyone whose life she touched.'' Lori is survived by her husband, Thomas A. Mattingly II; two daughters, Jordan Mattingly and Katherine Mattingly; and one son, Wade Mattingly, all at home; her parents, Joseph Lombardo and Elaine Lombardo of Surprise, Ariz.; a sister, Kim Sipe and her husband, Dr. Brian Sipe, of Homewood, Ill.; two brothers, Michael Lombardo and his wife, Jill Lombardo, of St. Peters, Mo., and Thomas Lombardo of Surprise, Ariz.; great-grandmother, Edna Lombardo of Lake St. Louis, Mo.; great-grandmother, Florence Pigago of Surprise, Ariz.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas E. Mattingly and Lucille Mattingly of St. Charles, Mo.; sisters-in-law: Laurie Dubay and her husband, Daniel Dubay, of Worcester, Mass., Lisa Merrell and her husband, Scott Merrell, of Leicester, Mass., and Angela Mattingly of St. Charles, Mo.; nephews and nieces: Nathan Lombardo and Ean Lombardo of St. Peters, Mo., Samantha Sipe of Homewood, Ill., Nathan Dubay and Sophia Dubay of Worcester, Mass., Scott Merrell, Sidney Merrell, Morgan Merrell and Mason Merrell of Leicester, Mass.; numerous cousins and countless other family and friends.
