Lorraine Virginia Gilless (nee Pankey), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Friday, June 16, 2023, at the age of 100. Beloved wife of the late Odie Gilless; devoted daughter of the late Elmer and Bessie Pankey; loving mother of her four daughters Betty (Jack) Bray, Wilma Gilless, Glenis Steinhoff, and Gail (Gary) Hunt; cherished grandmother of Greg Hunt, Scott Steinhoff, Todd Steinhoff, Keith (Sue) Steinhoff, and Katie Hunt; precious great-grandmother of Logan, Trevor, Emily, Sam, and Shey; dear sister of Harold Pankey, Norma Conatser, Shirley Wrinkle, and the late Charles Pankey.
Lorraine married the love of her life, Odie, and they spent 48 years together until his passing in 1996. She celebrated 100 beautiful years of life in 2022. Lorraine was a homemaker all her life and was dedicated to her family. She loved spending time with them, especially around the holidays. Lorraine used to love to travel in her younger years, most notably to Hawaii. In her spare time, she loved to sew, embroider, and read.
Lorraine was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Memorials may be made in Lorraine's name to the American Heart Association.
