Lorraine Lang

Lorraine Lang (nee Becker), of Saint Louis, MO, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at the age of 85. Loving wife of the late Eugene "Gene" Lang; beloved daughter of the late Elmer Sr. and Gertrude Becker; devoted mother of Debra (Gary) Slemmens, Keith Lang, Denise (David) Groceman, Brian (Kathleen) Lang, and Victoria Lang; cherished grandmother of Nicole (Joseph) Laird, Ariana Slemmens, Erin (Nic) Polfer, Meghan (Christian) Slemmens-Kakowski, M.D., Andrea (Austin) Hamilton, Joseph Lang, and Jacob Lang; cherished great-grandmother of ten and great-great grandmother of three; dear sister of Andrew (the late Kathryn) Becker, Sharon (Don) Slayton, and John (Linda) Becker; great-niece, aunt, and cousin to many. Lorraine is also preceded in death by her brother, Elmer (June) Becker Jr. Lorraine was a loving mother of five, but she was mom to everyone especially the children in the neighborhood. She was the "Champion of all Children." She started off as the score keeper for all her children's sports (softball, soccer, baseball) and taught everyone that skill. Her grandchildren & great-grandchildren were the best highlights of her life. Lorraine was a tough woman with a big heart. If you needed someone to talk to, she was a great listener. Lorraine was sassy with a good sense of humor. She loved to keep her mind active. Lorraine was an avid reader, loved word searches, and puzzle books. She really enjoyed games, Lorraine was a big card player, but her favorite game was Scrabble. She also loved music and enjoyed dancing. Lorraine also made the best potato salad ever. Lorraine was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Memorials may be made in Lorraine's name to the Alzheimer's Association & American Diabetes Association.
